Heather Murphy grew up on the East Coast, starting out in Pennsylvania, and then post-college career her sense of adventure took her to New York City [area] for 16 years.  However, in 2017 the sense of adventure kicked in, again, along with a desire to try out the West Coast.  So, she fled the east and has lived in Encinitas, California ever since - a ‘getting bigger every year, but still quaint’ surf town in the northern part of San Diego County.  She sheepishly admits she was born funny, but tries to conduct herself in a non-joking way as she journeys through life.  It’s a challenge, but she manages to do it well!  She suppresses her comical side during normal business hours, but during spare time, she passionately cartoons the material she’s gathered by simply observing human/animal behavior (including her own!).  And from these observations, works of ‘funny’ art are created.
