Pop star Katy Perry joined an all-female crew aboard Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission, completing an 11-minute suborbital spaceflight as part of a milestone launch by Jeff Bezos’ aerospace company. Here’s what happened behind the scenes…

Her scientific contribution? Confirming that lip gloss does actually float in microgravity.
