Governor’s Ball presents a new VIP experience: The Velveeta Cheese Chain Smoking Tent brought to you by Crocs Shoes

In case there wasn’t enough glitter and Woodstock nostalgia for you last year, Governor’s Ball is making an even better comeback this year, with even bigger wristbands that you can leave on for weeks after to show everyone that you went. Governor’s Ball, or GovBall as the kids call it, has revolutionized the VIP festival experience. They took the time to sit down and really think about what their customers want. After an in depth analysis of the festival’s crowd, Velveeta Cheese, in an effort to re-achieve the fame they had in the 1980s, decided to provide a space where patrons could comfortably chain smoke.

“Chain smoking is really part of the experience here at GovBall. It creates a community – one that blissfully enjoys the music AND ignores any warning from the surgeon general.” says John Reynolds, the intern who came up with the idea. Later we were told that Reynolds original intention was to just find a way to go to the festival for free, but it soon turned into an idea he was determined to nurture.

Not only will a VIP pass buy your way into the tent, but it will also get you a complimentary “$w@g b@g” – as promised by their “secure the b@g” marketing campaign. In the bag will be a box of Velveeta cheese, which comes with a promise of continued freshness through the heat of the weekend (because it contains no organic material). Other items included are koozies, commemorative t shirts with Bob Marley on them for no reason, and a free pair of special edition Crocs. The Crocs that will be provided to all guests will be the Smoking Croc – a tribute to the ever stylish classic smoking slipper.

Free drinks, PBR and Taaka, will be served all weekend long, and Velveeta would like the people attending to know that they will be extremely easy on carding. However, it should be noted you can buy food in the tent. Prices for the food at the event range from an arm to a leg.

Urban Outfitters was asked why they chose not to sponsor the event this year, and their comment was “Look around at all the people attending the festival – I think we’ve done enough.”
