This Earth Day, Help Save The Planet By Purchasing Our ‘I Love The Earth’ Synthetic T-Shirt

It’s Earth Day, which means it’s time for the release of our annual, limited-edition I Love The Earth t-shirt and jeans. We’re thrilled to announce that a percentage* of the proceeds will go to some of our favorite environmental causes and organizations. So the more you buy, the more you’ll help heal this planet we call home.

This year, our tie-dye I Love The Earth t-shirt features a smiling earth with a playful wink. You’ll notice that this is very different from last year’s I Love The Earth tie-dye t-shirt, which showed a smiling earth with both eyes closed. Let everyone know you care about sustainability, without getting caught wearing last year’s style!

This t-shirt is made out of our favorite, smooth and shiny polyester. Polyester is the #1 synthetic fabric used in the fashion industry. It’s pretty incredible. Polyester is practically indestructible due to its non-biodegradable nature, so you can wear our t-shirt all summer long, with no noticeable wear and tear.

Our I Love The Earth t-shirt uses tie-dye to pay homage to the 1970s, when Earth Day was first established as a national holiday. Dyeing processes are super interesting! Those spunky, awesome colors don’t just stop at the border of your t-shirt; instead they can turn whole rivers into a colorful celebration of the earth. By wearing our brightly colored clothes, you’re celebrating your commitment to protecting this incredible planet, in all its colorful glory.

And what’s a t-shirt without jeans?! We love our special edition, bootcut denim showcasing the signature, winking earth on the left butt cheek. Let your jeans do the talking when they say: “kiss my ass, pollution!” It takes 10,000 liters of water to grow the cotton required to produce just one pair of jeans. That’s about 10 years worth of drinking water for a single person. That’s how seriously we take our denim.

You won’t want to waste this opportunity to advocate for the environment. Speaking of waste, the U.S. disposes 11.3 million tons of textile waste each year. Fashionistas, that’s about 2,150 pieces of clothing every second. In the time you read that sentence, another 2,150 were thrown away. And another. And another. The fashion industry accounts for approximately 10% of global carbon emissions. This April 22nd, it’s time for us to take a stand. We’ve worked to bring you these special clothing items all the way from China. Our t-shirts and jeans had to travel on a truck, a plane, a boat, and then another truck, all in an effort to make it to your closet. So hop in the car and drive (don’t walk!) to pick up this special ensemble from your local store. We’ve done our part, and now it’s time for you to do yours.
