Hot New Summer TV Shows!
Pillow Talk – Talk show hosted by My Pillow weirdo Michael Lindell. Not sure if this series will go beyond this first episode, which seems to actually be an intervention in disguise, as a group of Mike’s friends and family members corner him in an effort to wrestle away the pillow that he’s forever creepily cradling. (A&E, Wed 9pm)
Plug Plague – A ragtag group of strangers most work together in order to survive when the zombie apocalypse is inadvertently kicked into gear by an improperly washed butt-plug. In the pilot episode, Danny notices an odd smell coming from Tyler’s back-pack. (SyFy, Sun 10pm)
Total Yodel!!– People love singing competition shows, eh? They seem like they’ll pretty much watch any and all, regardless of how dull and inane, right? Let’s certainly hope so. (FOX, Tues 7pm)
Who Is This?– From the creators of the incredibly popular show This Is Us comes this eerily similar watered-down soap opera program. A family, whose members all have amnesia due to a church camping trip bus accident, must navigate lives of intrigue and mild dissatisfaction, coupled with not knowing who the heck each other are exactly. (NBC, Wed 8pm)
Struggle To Juggle– So, you like those shows where a bunch of dummies who possess no cooking skills or aptitude are tasked with preparing an elaborate meal and/or dessert? Great fun, right? Look at those morons go! In a similar vein, check out our latest attempt to squeeze every last drop from a desperate premise: A group of fame-starved idiots attempting to juggle while blindfolded! Put the kids to bed before the chainsaws come out! (USA, Fri 8pm)
Objects In Mirror – New comedy series from the team that brought you The BTK Killer: Live At The Apollo!. When Tim Osgood dies suddenly one Sunday afternoon at home, his soul somehow becomes trapped in his bedroom mirror! And unfortunately, it’s the same mirror that his wife likes to use when enjoying sexual escapades with various men of every stripe, including Tim’s elderly father! As you can imagine, hijinx ensue! Variety says, “I wouldn’t be able to watch this program with my teenage daughter, even if she hadn’t already been removed from my home by the courts.” You heard it here first, CBS’ next huge comedy hit! (CBS, Thurs 7:30 pm)
Genuine Ninja Warrior – Unlike regular old American Ninja Warrior, new soon-to-be-hit Genuine Ninja Warrior features only 100% real ninjas!! This of course means that contestants are invisible to the human eye and unable to be captured on film, but pay close attention and you may see a throwing star tossed into the throat of a host or audience member here and there.(NBC, Mon 7pm)
